This solar plate etching was made from a series of photos taken mid 2023.These works contain images of derelict Williamsons Power Station in Lancaster. Most recently occupied by SupaSkips, the company had their licence revoked for not complying with regulations and left abandoning 13,000 tonnes of waste, an indoor landfill. In December 2023 it caught alight and burned for over two weeks costing Lancaster County Council £900,000 to extinguish. The building has now been condemned and is structurally unsafe due to be demolished, once someone can be found to pay for it. This image shows the image of the very top of the landfill site, someone had added these slabs to create access to the top of the pile giving the view a very surreal feeling.

This view shows the way out from the first floor balcony - you can see the smashed office windows to the side, I loved the way the light fell in this image.

This view shows the office windows, each one smashed with the warehouse floor behind, this part of the building was used to house the clean or recyclable waste.
