Apple trees are important to the UK because it is a native tree and the fruit can be stored all winter; however the native crab apple is sour and the fruit remains around the tree uneaten. Gold is a symbolic colour and golden apples appear throughout folk tales. This is the three block print.

Dragon under Oxford

Reduction lino print (cranfield inks on masa washi paper)

h: 26 w: 19 d: 1 (cms).

Dragons are mentioned as being found under Oxford in the Mabinogion, a collection of Welsh mythology, as well as being associated with Dragon hill, which is found beneath the White Horse chalk figure which has arguably questionable features when it comes to being described as a horse. This is a reduction lino print.
