My work is a visual response to what I read in the newspaper and mass media. Intrigued by a news article discussing how AI created portrait to be more trustworthy than real human beings’ photographs, I began creating etching portraits from real and AI-generated pictures. I adopted the etching technique to highlight the human hands' presence. To simulate the diverse array of information processed by AI in its creative endeavors, I started mixing various facial elements from previously crafted portraits. Then I use the photopolymer or silkscreen printing process to reproduce and transform them on different scale, giving my portrait a stronger stance. Through this fusion of traditional and contemporary techniques, my work aims to provoke thought and dialogue surrounding the intersection of humanity and artificial intelligence, ultimately challenging perceptions of our humanity, of authenticity and authorship in the realm of portraiture.

Born in France I studied in Poitiers and Bordeaux, graduating with a Masters in Art History. I left France when I was 22 years old and have travelled ever since. My first stop was in England where I became a teacher, then I moved to Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, where I taught art at the International School. I headed next to the United States where I became a full-time artist. 

When I returned to the UK, I established a permanent working place at Make Space Studios, London and pursued a dream of attending the MA course in fine art at City and Guilds Art School in London.
