Andrew’s father taught him the basics of making relief prints from wood and lino blocks while his older brother guided him in making a hydraulic press. Andrew attended art and printmaking classes in half a dozen UK towns and cities.

Wildlife forms the subject matter for most of Andrew’s pictures. Climate change and human impact on the natural world have been concerns for many years. These issues are the basis for a recent series of circular prints under the general title “Precious Planet”.

Andrew has contributed pictures to approximately 90 local and national group exhibitions. He enjoys the practical aspects of printmaking and has designed and made a variety or printing presses for friends and relatives.  

Andrew is very grateful to many family members, friends, teachers, fellow printmakers and his wife for all their help and encouragement over many years.
