My submission explores the union of heritage and contemporary impression where the traditional art of letterpress meets the modern world of design and uses traditional lead and wood type to create my prints. Each letter is a piece of history, pressed into the paper with the weight of time and the freshness of innovation. While embracing the tactile nature of letterforms, I create a unique sensory experience that links to the past while pushing the boundaries of the present. My prints pay tribute to skill of craftsmanship and the power of creativity in this combination of the old and the new. Letters are more than just symbols; they are the building blocks of communication, the visual representation of language. Within a typeface each curve, line, and serif holds its own personality, its own story waiting to be told.
