It features bare silver birch trees silhouetted against the snow-dusted Cuillin mountains, set on a hillside just beginning to turn green. The contrast of icy peaks and the fresh green grass evokes the fragile promise of a new season.

This linoprint invites a quiet reflection on time’s passing—the ancient silhouette of the Cuillin and weathered lands whisper stories of bygone eras.The colour palette captures light as it drifts across undulating terrain, balancing stark silhouettes with intimate detail. This work reflects my fascination with myth and memory: the land feels animate, imbued with ancestral presence, yet retains a serene, almost consoling mood. With this piece I aim to offer a portal into both the rugged grandeur and tender mystery of landscape as a living memory.
