Direct Botanical Relief Print Contemporary Collage

A direct botanical relief print of a fern leaf on a circular cork background, hung unframed with brass photo hangers. The contemporary collage elements of brass hoops, recycled card, seaweed paper, recycled corrugated cardboard, and cork have been crafted to the piece with brass nails. As discussed with Sarah Morris over email, these photographs are to be used as a placeholder. This piece measures 19cm in diameter. If accepted into the exhibition, I will create a visually similar piece at 40cm in diameter.

The contemporary collage elements of brass hoops, recycled card, seaweed paper, recycled corrugated cardboard, and cork have been crafted to the piece with brass nails. As discussed with Sarah Morris over email, these photographs are to be used as a placeholder. This piece measures 19cm in diameter. If accepted into the exhibition, I will be able to create a visually similar piece at 40 cm in diameter. This work features a eucalyptus leaf. However, if all three applications are successful and the following proposal is approved, I would love the opportunity to exhibit a series of work that is representative of native British plants. My flower press is currently full, with red campion, meadowsweet, clovers, fringed willowherbs, and many more local plants. I would like to pick a different plant to replace the eucalyptus leaf, to give a more rounded representation of the beautiful variety of flora that we have growing throughout Britain. If this idea is not approved, I am more than happy to create a visually similar piece using eucalyptus leaves, at 40cm in diameter.
