Eastgate Clock, Chester sits above one of the open gates to Chester city on the on the site of the original entrance to the Roman fortress of Deva Victrix in Chester. The clock was added to the gate in 1899 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria which was in 1897.
