Mood in art is the innate emotion that a viewer feels while viewing an artwork. A mood can simply be changed by the colour, texture, theme, or composition used in a painting. Additionally, the atmosphere in a printing is influenced by the mood, creating the initial emotions that it produces for the viewer to experience. For example, in romantic paintings, if a dark colour palette was used with passionate brushstrokes, it could portray feelings of unease. Artists who inspire me are Daniel Gerhartz and Henrietta Raes, as they communicate this particular mood very well.
