Mandi is an Artist who specialises in Printmaking. A decade ago following treatment for cancer she embarked on a career as an Artist. Initially self-taught, she undertook a range of training courses in the UK and abroad. In 2022 she graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Print and a distinction for her dissertation which considered the ‘Invisibility’ of Disabled Women Artists in the Art establishment.
Mandi is a temporary key holder at East London Printmakers and a member of the Porthmeor Print workshop in St Ives. She works between studios in London and St Ives.
Mandi’s images respond to a range of influences including her involvement with the Disability Arts Movement, her connection with the landscape and her personal experience of disability. She is interested in the relationship between physical and mental health. Recent work explores this through a lens of colour, breath and time. ‘Just Keep Breathing’ is a monotype print from this series.
Mandi has exhibited in a range of Galleries including Sotheby’s, Green and Stone, The Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair (2020, 2021 and 2023), ELP Festival of Print, St Ives Penwith Gallery as an Associate member and a joint show in 2023. Her work is also held in many private collections.
